Back-to-School Open Houses Are Just Around the Corner!

The first day of school is getting closer, and we are excited to welcome our students and families back to Cleveland Public Schools! Our Back-to-School Open Houses provide a great opportunity to see classrooms, walk the hallways, meet teachers and staff, drop off school supplies, and get ready for a successful school year.

These events are designed to help students feel comfortable and confident before the first day of school. Families can also update contact information, speak with transportation staff about bus routes, and get answers to any last-minute questions.

Monday, August 3

Primary School Open House
🕟 Come and Go: 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Middle School

• 5:00 p.m. – 6th Grade & New Student Orientation
• 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. – 7th & 8th Grade Schedule Pickup

Tuesday, August 4

Intermediate School Open House
🕟 Come and Go: 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

High School

• 2:00 p.m. – Seniors Schedule Pickup
• 3:00 p.m. – Juniors Schedule Pickup
• 4:00 p.m. – Sophomores Schedule Pickup
• 5:00 p.m. – Freshman Orientation

A Few Helpful Notes

For schools listed as "Come and Go," families do not need to arrive right at the start time. We encourage parents to spread out their arrival during the event window. Most visits will take approximately 20–30 minutes, giving families plenty of time to tour the building, locate classrooms, meet teachers, and drop off supplies.

Students entering 6th grade and 9th grade should plan to attend their orientation sessions, which will take a little longer and provide important information for a successful transition to middle school and high school.
