Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
We want to clarify our school’s expectations and procedures regarding student walkouts, leaving campus during the school day, and visitors on campus.
School Stance on Walkouts
We recognize that students have the right to express their views. At the same time, the school has a responsibility to ensure student safety, maintain an orderly learning environment, and enforce procedures. Staff may not organize or support student walkouts during the instructional day.
Attendance and Discipline Procedures
Any student who leaves campus during school hours without authorization will be considered to have left without permission and will receive:
- An unexcused absence
- Disciplinary consequences, which may include suspension in accordance with district policy
The school’s response is based on adherence to safety, attendance, and supervision requirements.
Visitors and Outside Groups on Campus
- Visitors are not permitted without prior authorization and proper check-in
- Outside individuals or groups may not enter campus without administrative approval
- Unauthorized individuals will be denied entry and directed to leave
Student Safety
Student safety is our highest priority. When students leave campus without authorization or unauthorized individuals attempt access, proper supervision cannot be ensured. All procedures must be followed.
