March School Board Meeting Recap
Board Meeting Highlights – March 2026
Hello Tiger Families!
We had a productive and positive Board of Education meeting last night, and I wanted to share the key takeaways with you. Thanks for staying connected and engaged—your involvement makes a real difference.
📌 Consent Agenda Approved
The Board moved through the consent agenda, which covers routine items that keep our schools running smoothly. Although they may seem small, these approvals ensure our programs, finances, and building use stay up to date.
Here’s what was included this month:
Approval of February 2, 2026 Board Meeting Minutes
Treasurer’s Report & Financial Reports
MS TSA Overnight Trip – Students will head to a drone competition (exciting learning opportunity!)
MOUs approved with:
Pawnee County Health Department
Cleveland Area Hospital
Facility use request from Hope Church for the MS classroom & cafeteria
Transportation request for Western Heights to Camp Lela (March 13–14)
Additional fundraiser for HS Cheer – T‑shirt & try‑out shirt sale
Additional expenditure for Primary Literacy Night supplies & Family Night meals
These items help support everything from academics to community partnerships to safe and fun student events.
👥 2026–27 Transfer Capacity
The Board reviewed and approved our officially published transfer capacity. This helps us balance class sizes while still welcoming new families into Cleveland Schools. We’re thankful so many families continue choosing CPS!
📅 Final 2027 School Calendar Approved
After discussion, the Board voted to adopt the final 2027 school year calendar. Which will follow a flow of 4 day weeks from Thanksgiving Break onward.
