Volunteer Opportunities at CMS
Cleveland Middle School is looking for volunteers! We have openings for one to three hours per day across multiple days if you are interested in any of the following:
- Hallway monitors
- Adult presence in the hallway helps students stay safe
- Assist students having a hard time with personal belongings
- Tutoring students during class time
- Hours at your discretion
- Students pulled to Library or other quite classroom to assist them in the learning process
- Help students study, finish notes, guide research
- Helping students take notes during classroom lectures
- Hours at your discretion
- Some students need help writing key words from classroom discussions
- Sharing career experiences and or life experiences/skills
- During Tigerhood (9:30 am – 10:00 am) share work and or life experiences dealing with education
- Lunch time outside monitors (11:15 am through 12:35 pm)
- Bus monitors to aid bus drivers and students (before and after school)
- Home room parents
- Hours at your discretion
- Help identify what students needs are and ways to assist them
- Lunch with students (11:05 am – 12:25 pm)
- Someone to share lunch with students so that everyone has somebody to talk to.
- Community Service Projects (9:30 am – 11:10 am)
- Help students identify projects
- Lead students to start and complete projects
All volunteers are required to: Comply with School Board policies and procedures and sign the volunteer compliance agreement.
