High School TSA Program Spotlight

The Technology Student Association (TSA) is more than just a club — it’s a nationwide organization designed to empower middle and high school students through hands‑on experiences in technology, engineering, innovation, and leadership. TSA gives students the chance to compete in events that mirror real-world careers, including robotics, coding, construction, design, and problem‑solving. Along the way, students build teamwork, confidence, and leadership skills that prepare them for college and future careers in STEM fields.

At our high school, TSA is quickly becoming a place where students can explore their interests, challenge themselves, and create something meaningful. According to HS TSA sponsor Denton Wilson, students are already diving into exciting projects as they prepare for upcoming competitions.

Coding Team: Preparing for the State Qualifier
We currently have two students hard at work training for the coding competition, where they’ll be tested on logic, creativity, and programming skills. Their goal: qualify for the State TSA Conference.
They’ll get their chance soon — the state qualifier is coming up on March 4, where they’ll compete to earn a spot at the next level.

Robotics Team: Building, Testing, and Innovating
Meanwhile, our robotics team is busy constructing a robot from the ground up. They’ve been designing, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and improving their machine as they prepare for the robotics event at the

State TSA Conference.
Unlike coding, robotics doesn’t require a pre-qualifier, which gives the team time to focus fully on perfecting their robot and strategy. They’re making steady progress and can’t wait to showcase their work at state.

Why TSA Matters
TSA activities blend perfectly with classroom learning, giving students the chance to apply problem‑solving, creativity, and collaboration in meaningful ways. By joining TSA, students become part of a nationwide community of young innovators, leaders, and creators who are shaping the future of technology.

And stay tuned — next week we’ll be highlighting our Middle School TSA program and the amazing things happening there as well!
