Cleveland Schools Organize Community Celebration to Honor Veterans

This Veterans Day, the Cleveland community is coming together to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Organized by Cleveland Schools, the event will kick off at Arlington Park at 10:00 AM with performances by a talented student-led band and choir, creating a heartfelt atmosphere of gratitude and remembrance.

Following the park festivities, the celebration will conclude with a parade beginning at approximately 10:25am down Broadway and Caddo, then through the school campus. Community members are encouraged to line the streets along Broadway and Caddo to cheer and wave at the veterans as they pass by. This is a wonderful opportunity for all to express their appreciation for those who have sacrificed for our freedoms.

Veterans who wish to participate in the parade can sign up using the link or call our office at 918-358-2210 (option 1). We want to ensure that as many veterans as possible can join us in this celebration.
In a special touch, students will have the chance to personally thank each veteran during the event, creating lasting connections between the younger generation and those who have served.

Local businesses are also encouraged to get involved by decorating their storefronts in red, white, and blue and rallying their employees to join in the day’s celebrations. This is a perfect opportunity to showcase our community spirit and gratitude.

Let’s come together to make this Veterans Day memorable. Bring your flags, wear your patriotic colors, and let our veterans know that their service is appreciated and valued.

Join us in honoring our heroes—because they fought for us, now it’s our turn to stand for them.
