Cleveland Hosts the Pawnee County Jr. Livestock Show for the First Time

It’s not uncommon for Cleveland Schools to push into new territory, trying things that haven’t been done before. This year, that spirit of innovation is on full display in our Agriculture Program. For the first time, the Pawnee County Jr. Livestock Show is being held right here in Cleveland, bringing one of the county’s most time‑honored youth traditions to our home turf. This year’s show is officially hosted at the Cleveland Show Barn, marking a new chapter for our ag community.

This opportunity didn’t appear overnight. It represents weeks—really months—of early mornings, late nights, detailed planning, and hands‑on labor from our Ag staff, students, and families. From preparing the facilities to caring for livestock, organizing entries, and ensuring the barn was ready to welcome the county, the Ag Tiger Family has worked relentlessly to make Cleveland a host site that Pawnee County can be proud of.

The show brings together everything that makes agricultural education special: responsibility, craftsmanship, showmanship, and community. Students who began their projects last spring and summer now step into the ring with months of preparation behind them—parents in the stands, ag teachers ringside, and classmates cheering them on.

To every Ag student, every parent who hauled panels or animals, every staff member who made last‑minute phone calls or swept the barn aisle—thank you. This moment reflects your hard work, pride, and dedication to building something bigger for our kids and our community.

So when you see a member of the Ag Tiger Family, congratulate them. Wish them luck. Celebrate what they’ve already achieved by helping bring this show to Cleveland for the very first time.

February 16–17 — Ag Family, go kick some tail!
