Today, our High School has had 2 teachers and one more student report positive Covid tests. This makes 6 total positive cases in our high school this week. We have had approximately 50 students need to quarantine for exposure to these cases. Due to this, our high school will have a Distance Learning Day tomorrow, November 6, 2020. High school will not report to school tomorrow, but will check in with their teachers and complete their assignments through distance learning.
This will be for the High School only. All other sites will be in regular session. We will use this day to thoroughly disinfect our High School building and make sure we have fully completed contact tracing. We are still working on contact tracing and will be in touch with all parents of students are deemed to be “close contacts” as soon as possible. If you are not contacted directly by a school, you do not need to take action at this time.
Tomorrow nights football game against Catoosa has been canceled.
We are continuing to assess our current situation and a determination will be made on how instruction for our high school students will be provided next week. We will get this information out by at least Sunday, late afternoon.
High School students will be able to pick up a meal for Friday if they choose. Anyone who is interested should call Cindy Proctor at 918-358-2210, ext. 408 by 9:00 a.m. Friday morning for details.

- If you have any symptoms stay home – communicate with your school.
- We strongly encourage all people on campus to wear a face covering.
- Practice Social Distancing when possible.
- Always remember to diligently wash your hands.
If you or any member of your family exhibit COVID-19 symptoms, please contact your medical provider for advice immediately. Symptoms usually appear 2-14 days after exposure.
Our greatest priority is the safety of our students, staff, and community members. It is important to remember children are greatly influenced by the reaction of adults when facing difficult circumstances. We encourage everyone to remain calm and to be empathetic and respectful to those affected.
