The Cleveland Tigers are proud to unveil the final rough draft of our Tiger Vision 2025 bond issue. This $19,830,000 proposal is aimed at making essential updates and investments across our district, ensuring that our students and staff have access to the best possible learning and working environments.
Key Dates
- January 30th: Finalization of the bond issue draft.
- April 8th: Public vote on the bond issue.
Current Progress
We are awaiting the results of a Title IX preventative audit focusing on athletics and facilities. This assessment will ensure that all proposed upgrades meet equity standards and address our district’s most pressing needs.
Proposed Updates
Here’s an overview of the key updates outlined in the bond proposal:
High School
- Roof, plumbing, and electrical upgrades
- Remodels for science labs, special education classrooms, and the cafeteria
- Kitchen expansion and janitorial storage improvements
- Fine arts-focused gym renovation
- New furniture for students and staff
Middle School
- Locker room expansion
- Retractable bleachers and concession lobby addition
- New furniture for students and staff
Intermediate School
- Cafeteria addition
- District-wide mental health counseling offices
Athletics
- Wrestling facility expansion
- Indoor facility renovations
District-Wide Technology & Textbooks
- $150,000 annually for textbooks and student technology
Tax Impact
We’ve worked to ensure the tax impact remains minimal.
For every $1,000 you currently pay in property tax, the bond issue would add $3.92 per month—that’s about the cost of 7 Starbucks lattes per year!
For the average property tax in Pawnee County (approximately $750), the yearly increase would be just $35.
We’re excited to take this next step toward improving our schools and creating opportunities for all Cleveland students. Stay tuned for updates as we finalize the proposal, and mark your calendar for April 8th to have your voice heard!
