Text Box: Reading Dec. 1st Night Letters Dec. 8th A Symphony of Whales Dec. 15th Volcanoes Spelling Spelling lists are sent home every Friday. We have a pretest on Monday, and if the student makes a 100% on the test, than they do not have to take the final test on Thursday. Students will work on phonic skills on Friday. Social Studies We are doing a study on many of our countries famous symbols, starting with the American flag. Science We are studying the many different types of whales this month. Language We will finish working on verbs this month. We will also be working on paragraph writing. Students will do a rough draft on Tuesday and it will be edited and sent home on Thursday as home work to rewrite. Math We are still working on multiplication. Many students have mastered the skill through the 6’s. So they are halfway there. Keep working hard. We are also working on line segments, finding area of a figure, drawing arrays, and writing story problems. Handwriting We have mastered lowercase letters and are moving on to uppercase.
