Update 10/6/08

Seventh grade students completed the introduction to graphing skills.  They practiced plotting data on line graphs and bar graphs.  After plotting their data, they interpreted the information and drew conclusions.  This week and next students are learning the parts of a compound light microscope and how to use them properly.  After learning the use of the microscope,  we will have a fun lab looking a pond water.

Eighth graders will finish with graphing skills, metric measurement and lab safety with a test this week.  For the next several weeks they will be studying life science beginning with the protist kingdom.  They will observe several samples of pond water, record data and do research to do group projects over “Life in a Pond.”
