Reading Classes

6th Grade:

 

The 6th grade students are reading Maniac Magee throughout the month of January.  We will be reading it as a class.  The students will do several activities on their own, including literary elements, section reviews, and vocabulary.  To conclude the unit on Maniac Magee , the students  will each create their own shadow box portraying their favorite part of the novel.

8th Grade:

 

During the month of January, the 8th grade students will be focusing on poetry.  The poetry unit will consist of many different activities.  We will read Love That Dog Together.  The students will also be expected to write many forms of poetry themselves.
