What is L.E.A.P.?
L.E.A.P.
is a gifted program for grades 2-5.
Who qualifies?
All
scores from the ITBS and COGAT are reviewed. Students with advanced
scores qualify for the upcoming school year.
What is the class goal?
This year
the L.E.A.P. program will have three basic units. We will start the
year with an introduction course in Spanish. We then will move into
our science unit, which will consist of the Human Body. And Last but
definitely no least, we will have our 2nd Annual L.E.A.P. Jeopardy
Tournament.
What’s Next?
Decimal
Dogs!
The
decimal dog activity set introduces decimal concepts and operations and is
beneficial to gifted students, because it offers opportunity to explore the
relationships that go beyond standard grade level requirements. Students will work independently to
understand decimals and related concepts.
This lesson will include value, addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and division. This is
a fun and playful way to master math!
