8th Sewing: Projects for this class include an embroidered pillow showing three different types of stitches. A crocheted granny square is also required. Thereafter the student can do another crochet or embroidery project. Last day of class is March 6. 7th Sewing: Students will embroidery a design with at least two different stitches. Students can also learn how to crochet. Final day of class is March 6. 6th Sewing: This class is doing a simple embroidery project and some will have an opportunity to learn the basic crochet stitches. Final day of class is January 30. 8th Cooking: Nutrition, kitchen safety, and measuring will begin our 9 weeks of study and later the class will bakecookies, fruit bread, home made pizza, and beef jerky. Final day of class is January 30. 7th Cooking: Students will learn about snack foods and how to read and interpret food labels. They will also study nutrition and preservation of nutrients in food. Final day of class is February 13. 6th Cooking: Students will learn kitchen safety, table manners, and will prepare cinnamon twists, no bake cookies, and apple crisp. Final day of class is February 13.
