P.E./W.T. PARTICIPATION GRADING SCALE

1-3  nonparticipation in a12 week period = A-95%

4      nonparticipation in a 12 week period = B-85%

5      nonparticipation in a 12 week period = C-75%

6      nonparticipation in a 12 week period = D-65%

7      nonparticipation in a 12 week period = F-55%

Some examples of nonparticipation are failure to “dress out” (a student does not bring appropriate clothes and shoes for class), using class time for make up work (a student does not take P.E/W.T. in order to go to another class or to do another classes homework), or refusing to do what the teacher/coach has planned for that day.

The teacher/coach has the right to excuse a student’s failure to participate.  (Example = Coach determines a student is to sick or injured to participate, this will not count as a nonparticipation day.)  If a student is injured or sick and under a Doctors care the coach needs to have a Doctor’s note to receive an excused nonparticipation grade for that day.  They will also need a note from the Doctor stating they are well enough to begin to participate in class again.

I have read, understand and agree to abide by the policies outlined above.
