We are pleased to announce the adoption of our new school calendar, which increases the number of weekdays out of school by five compared to our historical average. This adjustment results in 65% of our weeks being short weeks, up from 40%. We believe this change will provide greater flexibility for families and foster a more positive atmosphere on campus. What is the real change and demand from families from this schedule? 5 more weekdays off during the school, swapped with 2 less weeks of summer. See the image on the right for better comparisons.
Survey Results and Community Feedback
Our decision was heavily influenced by the feedback received from our community and staff. A comprehensive survey revealed a strong preference for a modified calendar that offers increased flexibility without fully transitioning to a four-day week. The majority of respondents favored a schedule that maintains traditional learning structures while incorporating more short weeks. Commitment to On-Campus Learning
We want to emphasize that this calendar change does not compromise our commitment to on-campus learning. We have upheld our non-negotiable stance against distance learning to compensate for days. Students will continue to benefit from 158 days of in-person instruction.
We appreciate the active participation of our community in shaping a calendar that best suits our collective needs. By listening to your insights, we have crafted a schedule that balances innovation with tradition, ensuring the well-being and success of our students.
