The Cleveland Middle School and High School Archery Teams, led by Head Coach April Imler, are on target for an extraordinary season! Here’s a look at what they’ve achieved and the exciting road ahead.
Season Highlights:
This year has been a testament to hard work, teamwork, and precision. The team started the season with a score of 2657 out of 3600 but has already improved to an impressive 2951 out of 3600—a remarkable accomplishment that reflects their dedication and growth.
Individual archers are also shining, with 15 out of 28 achieving their personal best scores this season. These improvements are not just numbers but milestones of perseverance and skill.
The team has gained valuable experience and confidence by competing in seven tournaments from November through January. Among these events, the Cleveland team claimed a thrilling 1st place victory at the Booker T. tournament in Tulsa.
Additionally, Cleveland hosted its own Bullseye and 3D tournament, sharing the joy of archery with an incredible community of enthusiasts.
What’s Next?
The road to State and Nationals is calling! Cleveland Middle School Archery has already submitted two state-qualifying team scores. These will determine whether they will compete at Grand State against the best in Oklahoma or at Tier 2 State, focusing on refining their skills for next season.
The ultimate goal? Breaking the 3000-point barrier at State, which would position the team for a shot at Nationals in May 2025 in Louisville, Kentucky.
This season has been a testament to the team’s resilience, growth, and passion for archery. Stay tuned as they aim for new heights and make Cleveland proud!
